The other day I did something fun and crazy. I hadn’t done it for ages…I went on a jumping castle.
We were at a bike and car show. The toddler found the jumping castle. For once, a free one! After all the other kids got off and the toddler was bouncing around by himself, I asked what the weight limit was. The guy said “go ahead”. I didn’t need to be told twice!
It was all fun and games until the toddler did one of those uncoordinated bounces, smacked the plastic, dropped Thomas (yes he had to bounce too, even after the attempt to convince him NOT to take it on) and landed heavily on the train, hitting straight between his eyes. Bruising and tears. Sigh.
But at least it was fun for a few minutes.
